Miss Larina

Miss Larina is our executive administrator.  She has been employed with our center since August 1992.

Larina is a 1986 graduate of Harbor High School and a 1990 graduate of North Park University.  She received her Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Early Childhood and Psychology.

Larina started her career in early childhood education while living in Chicago just after graduation.  She worked with the young toddlers at a child care center in Lincolnwood, IL.  It was at the first center that she decided to focus her career in the childcare industry.

When Larina moved back to her hometown of Ashtabula, Ohio in 1992, she was hired at the Ashtabula County Day Care Center, Inc. as a toddler teacher.  She transferred to the new infant/toddler center (Iddie Biddie Kiddie City) in November of 1992.  In October of 1993, Larina took over the administrative duties of IBKC and then transferred back to ACDCC in 1998.  In July of 2000 the Ashtabula County Day Care Center and Iddie Biddie Kiddie City merged to form A.B.C. Child Care and Learning Center.  Larina says that the new center would not have been possible without the teamwork of the administration and staff of the two centers.

In her free time, Larina enjoys baking cookies and going to movies.  She also enjoys spending time with her nieces, Megan, Cali and Mackenzie as well as her nephews, Levi and Micah, when they visit.  Larina became engaged on April 8, 2009 to Will Graves.  They married on July 7, 2012.

Miss Jodi

Miss Jodi is our administrator.  She has been employed with our center since January 1999. 

Jodi is a 1986 graduate of Harbor High School.  She attended classes in Special Education EMR/MSPR at Kent State University Ashtabula Campus.

Jodi began her career in early childhood education at the Ashtabula Co-operative Nursery School in 1988.  She acted as the preschool teacher for the four-year-olds and the supervisor over the three-year-old program for two years.  Jodi also served as the Christian Education Coordinator for the First Presbyterian Church from 1993-1995.

Jodi was employed with Kinder Care Learning Centers in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania from 1990-1992 and in Mentor, Ohio from 1992-1999.  She worked as the staff trainer and a teacher.  While at Kinder Care, Jodi gained experience working with all age groups of children (6 weeks - 12 years).

In January of 1999, Jodi was hired to be the administrator at Iddie Biddie Kiddie City.  She helped to combine IBKC with Ashtabula County Day Care Center into their new location in July 2000.

Jodi married her husband, Erik, in July 1990.  They have three daughters - Rachel (7/95), Erika (10/97), and Kristen (7/01) and two black labs named Shadow & Libby.  Jodi enjoys spending time with her family, camping, being a "softball mom" and a "taxi" for her girls many sports & activities.

Miss Patty

Miss Patty is our administrative assistant.  She has been employed with our center since May 1998.

Patty grew up in Columbus, Ohio.  She graduated from Central High School in 1979.  She met her husband, Gary, in high school.  They were married in July 1981.  Gary joined the Air Force and they moved to South Dakota in 1981.  They lived there for 3 years.  In 1984 they moved to Ashtabula.

Patty and Gary have one son, Matthew (3/92).  Patty is involved in many of Matt's activities at school.  In her free time she enjoys running, bike riding, playing basketball and cycling.

Patty started her relationship with the staff of the Ashtabula County Day Care and Iddie Biddie Kiddie City when she enrolled her son as a toddler.  Patty served on the Board of Trustees from 1994-1997.

Patty enjoys her time at A.B.C. Child Care.  She's happy that the two centers are now in one location.
